About Me!!!

Hey there! My name is Kate Manson. I’m an actor based in the NYC/ Philly area. I’m an avid enjoyer of Star Wars, pop punk music, cooking, Shakespeare, crocheting, fantasy novels, skiing, and drag performance. I am drawn to acting and theater because of the collective catharsis it generates and its ability to connect and create community. In fact, catharsis and community are often what excite me in all elements of life, whether its raging in a mosh pit at a rock concert, fighting valiantly through a dinnertime rush with my fellow line cooks, or debating passionately with my friends. Basically, any opportunity to share the experience of life with others is one that I am drawn too, and that feeling is something I strive to bring to the art I create!

I recently graduated with my BFA in Acting from Texas State University where I received training in a variety of acting, movement, and voice techniques, as well as TV/Film training under Richard Robichaux, and Shakespeare and Classical Text training at Shakespeare’s Globe. I also had the opportunity to play a multitude of characters such as “#00” in The Wolves, “Pickles” in Life Sucks, “Hamlet'“ in Hamlet, “Mrs. Smith” in The Bald Soprano, and “Chelry” in Demaskus AKA Running. as well as act in multiple short films. I’m excited to take my training into the professional world and continue making engaging artistic projects!
